Connolly Hospital – St Francis Hospice Development

Bennett Construction Ltd were appointed by St Francis Hospice Association to construct their new hospice facility in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15.

Development Summary

This  development consisted of a new two storey hospice building which included; an entrance area with a restaurant and chapel, day care area including therapy areas, outpatient area, homecare department, day care administration, paramedical department, services area, landscaped gardens, surface car parking, basement level  parking, perimeter boundary fence, attenuation pond, additional site works and an access road from Connolly Hospital.

The project consisted of two phases with Phase 1 consisting of the construction of the  new two storey Building comprising Daycare, Paramedical, and Daycare Therapy/Outpatient units with underground car parking facilities and a gross internal floor area of 6000M2.

Phase 2 consisted of a new two storey building comprising of a 24 bed in-patient wards, treatment rooms, Administration, Bereavement Centres and Mortuary Block with a gross internal Floor area 5000m2.

Construction started on site in 2009 and the building was handed over in March 2011.
