Bennett Construction Limited are delighted ao announce our success in securing the contract for the remodelling and refurbishment of Penneys flagship shtore on the busy junction of Mary Street and Jervis Street in the centre of Dublin City.

Development Summary

The overall project involves the phased refurbishment and extension of the existing trading store with a sales area of circa 96,000ft2 to flagship standard.  The existing trading store has entrances off Mary Street and Parnell Street and will remain live throughout the redevelopment works.

The gross area of the existing store is circa 188,000ft2.

The scope of the works is to include the demolition of existing stairwells and realignment of new stairwells in place.  The demolitions will include the removal of structural walls at basement and ground floor and above.  The infilling and existing escalator openings and the insertion of a new wscalator bank and new scenic lift element will form part of the works.

These works will also include the upgrading and alterations of the existing services serving the store areas.  The works are to be carried out in a phased basis to ensure that the store continues to trade during the works.
