Development Summary

This development received a Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland Regional Award in recognition of the design techniques used.

The work involved the construction of a large new concourse between the train hall and the existing office building to the east of the train hall, with a new public entrance through the existing listed building. Considerable planning and co-ordination was involved in the demolition and re-construction of part of the existing listed building, followed by phased construction of a new atrium and roof to the train hall, construction of the concourse floor and the provision of engineering services.
