This project involved the extensive refurbishment of Stack A in the Dublin Docklands in 2002.

This development received a Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland Regional Award in recognition of the design techniques used.

The space includes a 320 seat theatre, three visual-arts areas and a café bar.

The integration of the new structure with the existing structure required the design of numerous ‘temporary works’ by BCL engineers to meet the challenges that arose on an almost daily basis.

The Helix is a three storey over basement building containing a concert hall, theatre, studio theatre, exhibition area, artist studios and associated support areas.
