Bennett Construction were appointed the Main Contractor on the extensive refurbishment of AIB, UCD Branch. On Monday the 18th of August the branch re-opened for business.

This was the culmination of an eight week fast track programme which included the soft strip and demolitions of the entire branch, re-fit to new layout including electrical, mechanical works, and new technologies to the most up to date standards.

The fast track programme was dictated by the campus school year. The end date allowed staff to acquaint themselves with their new environment and technology before the influx of students for the academic year.

All works on site were scheduled and executed to minimise impact and disruption on the campus environs and workings.

The works included bespoke furniture throughout the branch, prefabricated office pods interfacing with onsite stud work, secure walls to client sensitive areas all blending in with the overall theme.

A new glazed façade combined with a motorised glazed internal wall allows the client to provide secure night banking facilities for the customer.

The provision of low maintenance finishes including terrazzo and pandomo flooring and corrian workstations added to the long term cost effectiveness of the refurbishment.

All works were completed to the satisfaction of the client and design team, and the UCD campus management.
